Answers:
Q: (03) Stay Arm
A:  The system will arm in the Stay mode. Enable the Quick Arm feature (programming section [015], option [4]) to have this key function without the need to enter an access code. If Quick Arm is not enabled, the user will have to enter an access code before the system will stay arm.
Q: (04) Away Arm
A:  The system will arm in the Away mode. Enable the Quick Arm feature (programming section [015], option [4])to have this key function without the need to enter an access code beofre the system will away arm. When the panel is being Away armed, users can restart the exit delay once, by pressing the Away button before the exit delay expires. This will not work if the panel is being Stay armed.
Q: (06) Door Chime On/Off
A:  The Door Chime feature will turn ON or OFF.
Q: (14) Sensor Reset or [*][7][2]
A:  The panel will activate all PGM outputs programmed as option [03] Sensor Reset or [20] Command Output Option #2.
Q: (16) Activate Quick Exit
A:  The panel will activate the Quick Exit feature.
Q: (DSC system1555) Trouble Light on the Keypad
A:  It could be one of 1 of 13 things. to find out what the problem is push the button (*2)one of these lights will appear.
1.Service Required to determine the specific trouble push the button (1) one of the following lights will come on 1 - 5 here are those problems.
1.Low battery If you have had a power out give the system at least 48 hours to re-charge the battery. Check to see if the battery is pluged in. If the battery is pluged in you need to replace the battery, If you don't know how to replace the battery call for service 317-359-9720.
2.Bell circuit trouble:the bell circuit is open.Call for service 317-359-9720
3.PC off line. Call for service.317-359-9720
4.General system tamper. Call for service 317-359-9720
5.General system Supervision. Call for service 317-359-9720
2.AC Failure check transformer small square box pluged in the wall. Make sure it is still pluged in, make sure you have power to the outlet. If you don't fine and fix the problem call for service 317-359-9720
3.Telephone line monitoring, your phone line has been disconected. Call your phone company if this dose not fix the problem call for service 317-359-9720.
4.Failure to communicate, Call for service 317-359-9720
5.Zone fault smoke detector trouble, call for service 317-359-9720.
6.Zone tamper, one of your alarm wires have been tampered with. Call for service 317-359-9720
7.Device low battery, Wireless equipment has low battery change the battery if you don't know how call for service 317-359-9720
8.Loss of system time. this happens when you have a loss of power or a glitch in the system it can be reset by doing this. ( push the buttons *6 your master code then (1) military time (for example if it is 1:00pm, military time it is 13:00 hundred so you would put in) (1300)then you would put in the day the month and the year by useing two digets for each. Example from start to finish if your master code is 1234 and it is January 23,2003 an it is 8:05am you would push (*6 1234 1 08 05 23 01 03##) What you just did is Push star 6 master code 1234 1 for system clock, time 08:00am, Day 23 month 01 year 03. Q: [*][0] Quick Arm
A:  If the Quick Arm option is enabled(section [15], option [4]), enter [*][0] to arm the panel without an access code. If the Quick Arm option is disabled, users will need to enter an access code after pressing a function key.
Q: [*][0] Quick Exit
A:  The Quick Exit function, if enabled, will allow someone to leave an armed premises through a Delay type zone without having to disarm and re-arm the system. When [*][0] is entered, the panel will provide a two minute window for the user to exit the premises. During this time, the panel will ignore only one activation of a Delay zone. When the Delay zone is secured, the panel will end the two minute quick exit delay. If a second Delay zone is tripped, or if the zone is not restored after two minutes, the panel will begin entry delay. NOTE: If the Exit Delay is in progress, performing a Quick Exit will not extend the Exit Delay.
Q: [*][3] Alarm Memory
A:  The Memory (or System) light will be on if any alarm occurred during the last armed period or-in the case of 24 hour zones - if an alarm occurred while the panel was disarmed. To view alarm memory, press [*][3]. The keypad will flash the Memory or System light and the zone indicator lights corresponding to the alarm or tamper conditions which occurred during or since the last armed period. To clear the Memory or System light, arm and disarm the system.
Q: [*][4] Door Chime On/Off
A:  The door chime feature is used to sound a tone from the keypad whenever a zone programmed as a chime zone is activated. If the door chime feature is enabled, the keypad will emit five short beeps whenever a chime zone is actived. Designated entry/exit doors are often defined as chime zones. The feature can be turned on or off while the system is armed or disarmed.
Q: [*][5] Programming Access Codes
A:  There are 37 access codes available to the user. They are: Access code (40).....One master code, Access code (01)-(32).......32 general access codes, Access codes (33)-(34).....Two duress codes, Access codes (41)-(42).....Two supervisor codes. All access codes have the ability to arm or disarm the system and can activate the PGM Outputs using the [*][7] commands.
Q: [*][9] Arming Without Entry Delay
A:  When the system is armed with the [*][9] command, the panel will cancel the entry delay. Delay 1 and Delay 2 type zones will be istant and Stay/Away zones will be bypassed as soon as the exit delay has ended. The user must enter a valid access code after pressing[*][9].
Q: Add user codes to DSC Keypads
A:  Press star (*)5 master code 01 new user code #
for another user code star(*)5 Master code 02 new user code # you can go up to 32 codes by doing the same thing except changing the two digits 01-32.
Q: DSC how to arm system in the stay mode
A:  Push the stay button untill you here the keypad beep or put in your four digit code and don't exit any doors. If you exit a door after you set the alarm in the stay mode, it will put the system in the away mode.

Q: Master Code-Access Code (40)
A:  This code can be used to program all access codes. The Master code has all Access Code Attributes enabled by default, so that the Master code can be used to perform any keypad function. Master code attributes cannot be changed. If the Master Code Not Changeable option is enabled(section [15], option [6]) the Master Code can only be changed by the installer.
